Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe
Challenger 2000 Pipe®
Challenger 2000® is a corrugated outside, smooth inside, high density polyethylene pipe. It is an advanced profile pipe design, offering optimum strength, flow rates, and cost effectiveness. Annular corrugations combined with a smooth interior wall create superior structural integrity.
Challenger 2000® is manufactured in two strength classes, 320 and 210 k.p.a. with a variety of perforation patterns and engineered geosynthetic filters for different soil types.
High grade resins used in the manufacturing process of Challenger 2000® combined with Ideal Pipes in house laboratory testing procedures ensures consistent quality products exceeding industry standards.
Challenger 2000® is available in diameters 4″ through 42″ with wrap type couplers. Terrafix® also carries a complete line of Challenger 2000® molded and fabricated fittings.
Challenger 3000 Pipe®
Challenger 3000® is an advanced profile pipe design offering optimum strength, flow rates, and cost effectiveness. Annular corrugations combined with a smooth interior wall create superior structural integrity.
Challenger 3000® pipe is used for storm water management systems in urban and environmentally sensitive locations where the prevention of in-filtration are required. Challenger 3000® is the only (HDPE) dual wall profile pipe in Canada manufactured with an integrated bell.
Challenger 3000® Performance Advantages
Ideal Pipe’s innovation in technology has enabled the creation of the most advanced HDPE bell and spigot corrugated pipe in the industry. The integral bell is manufactured in a continuous extrusion process. Our seamless bell has created a high level of confidence when installing Challenger 3000®.
Strength: The combination of a corrugated exterior along with an internal smooth wall produces a pipe stiffness exceeding 320 KPa @ 5% deflection. Corrugated Polyethylene pipe has inherent impact advantages over PVC pipe in sub-zero conditions.
Hydraulics: Challenger® has a Manning “n” coefficient of 0.010. The abrasion resistant smooth inner wall will not retain debris or encourage sediment buildup.
Chemical Resistance: High density polyethylene has quickly become the material of choice in all environments. Challenger’s® resistance to a wide pH range (pH 1.25 to 14) creates a pipe that outperforms its’ competition.
